One need not be a chamber to be haunted,
One need not be a house;
The brain has corridors surpassing
Material place.

- Emily Dickinson

Every place bears the trace of its experience, it tells us a universe, it evokes its past and invites us to imagine a future. By moments, certain places seem to manifest their power of witness.
In those instants, our presence in the "here and now" manifests itself as the present time but somehow already charged with nostalgia. Ourself, our companions, friends, children, passers by, all human beings become characters with blurred details. Children growing to adults, senior, a walk of a lady... nature and architecture seem to me observer, they will last longer, they will know the story....
In those moments, I like to think that through photography can I dialogue with the past of the places and its ghosts, with the stones and trees, the rock observing us.

Photographs realized in analogical medium format camera. Often, I force the camera to overlap film frames loosing the control I love to keep in potographing and working. Then, I must trust my intuition.

In its final form the project includes brief notes and quotes.
